...OVERLY STAGED PHOTOS YAY~:dummy:

Some Dishonored Bone charms I've been making :meow: They're cast from polyurethane resin and then hand painted, the original was made from sculpey before making a silicone mould from it. Oh, and they measure around 11cm across and 8cm high (they're probably too small, but whatever!)

I'm pretty happy with how these came out, considering this was my second time doing casting stuff and I'm not that good at sculpting ^^; I'm tempted to try making them again just cause I know how to do a bunch of stuff better now...maybe I'll make like...some runes or something instead...I don't know...

...now I just need to put giant fasteners or pins to the back so they can be worn~:la:

And would anyone be interested in seeing the progress of this? I made sure to take photos while making it.

Heh, I don't really do prop stuff enough to warrant that ^^; thanks though
Learned most of what I did here from more advanced prop makers! ...been a while though so I can't exactly remember which ones :|

Are you by chance selling these? Or open to a bone charm commission xD? I'm an avid cosplayer and am looking to put together a Corvo Attano cosplay and these would make great accessories. No matter what problems you may think they have, I think they look awesome :D

Sorry but I'm not at the moment :( the cost of postage and production I feel is a bit too high when compared with the quality of the product (in order to cover the various costs it would be something like $15-20 per charm, and $15-30 for postage, that would be for an unpainted charm as well).
I have details over here about how I went about making them though :) and thanks!

Aww that sucks xD, darn you must live in a foreign country I'm guessing? I'd die if U.S. postage was that high. Hmm 30 dollars for one charm, actually doesn't sound to bad seeing how good the product looks ^^, but thanks for the link!

Yeah, I live in Australia :ohnoes:
Our postage here goes in blocks, the first covers 0-500g ($15) and the second is 500g-1kg ($30). I remember weighing some charms a while ago and for 3+the box+extra packing it was just over 500g :| I've had to pay for the 1-2kg tier once when my package was like 10g over...and those prices are just for shipping to the US ^^; there are two groups of shipping that are even higher...
Thank you, I'm glad you feel that way ; O ; I probably just focus on the things I want to fix :XD: heh. Well if you plan on having a shot at your own, then I wish you luck!

Aww well, I'd still buy one or two if you were selling but, thank you! They are very cool. I'm sorry Australian postage is so much D:

Sorry for the delay in my reply ^^; I am not currently selling them and don't plan to any more.
The cost of production, time and price which people are willing to pay just don't work out in a way which is efficient.
Shipping is also fairly costly for me especially for countries such as Denmark, and that isn't including the cost of packaging.
So sorry about that :( and thank you :)

Wonderful prop, looks quite perfect. I would have added a bit of a yellow tint to the bone part itself, but it's rather perfect as it is.

Again, amazing work.

Thank you :meow: oh, it actually does have a yellow tint, I did some colour fixing on the image and the purple light sort of washed it out ^^; Thanks again

Shipping costs wont be that much I guess. Where do they need to be send from? Just make a acceptable price and I buy them for sure! I definitely want to get my hands to add these to my Dishonord cosplay project.

Yeah, it depends whether people would want tracking and whether I can send it in an envelope or if it has to be in a box. They're being sent from Australia, if I can send them in a packed envelope it won't be much at all. I should try and get it all ready, I was hoping to sell some and then use the money to buy more materials so I can finish my second bonecharm model and make more things ^^;

Australia ey!? Nice! I got family living there creating and selling hand made Oogly's via My Oogly -> [link]. Maybe you already heard of it and if not its worth a look. ;) Anyways, from experience I'm aware the shipping costs to the Netherlands will be acceptable for me, so just name a reasonable pice mate and we can do business. ;)

Easily the best I've seen, no doubt. I'm making one myself now, if it turns out even HALF as well as these I'll be thrilled. Well done.

Thank you :) I haven't actually seen that many people take on the bone charms :? I was thinking about having another crack at them, but use actual metal pieces so that when I make casts they're nice and smooth~:meow: I'll have to keep a look out for yours when they're done :la: Thanks again.

Thanks :) well I might be doing a little raffle or contest for one of them, I feel a little weird selling them ^^; I don't think they're that good...a lot of the bits aren't aligned right and the back is a little jagged, though I guess they're fine for cosplay since they'd only be an accessory :?

They are an accessory^^ In your Text you wrote from a "how to". Did you do that? this maybe would help me to do them by myself.. maybe, if i am talented for xD. of maybe some Pics from Top view and bottom view?

Yeah, though I'll prolly never cast anything myself, I'm pretty curious to see the progress. How do you even shape it? .3.
I hadn't even heard of the game before now, looks goooood o3o
The charms look really authentic too, great job on them! :3

hurrrfff, really late reply...
I put some progress pics up on tumblr (if you haven't seen them already), I might put together a short tut as well. I do kind of want to have a shot at making them again, just cause I'd use different materials so it looks more authentic.
Each little bit was shaped individually, with the bone bits I just made a cylinder and carved all the bits out ^^; most bits were flat chunks that I cut pieces out of.
The game is pretty good :meow: though after the first playthrough I found that you remember every path and how enemies work, so there's less surprise, and I found that it sort of gives the illusion of choice when really there might only be few ways of doing something...still fun though :dummy:
And thank you :)

Oooh, Seems I missed those, but I had a look at them now! Cool stuff, interesting to see as I have no idea how people make stuff like this. :3
I see, I'm thinking of giving it a try after some time passes and the price have dropped some. :3

Oooo..interesting. I'd be interested in seeing that. Also, maybe you could make a tutorial out of it to show others how to make them (even if it is only your second time ^^; )
